Potterton Flexible Hose (Expansion Vessel) 5117635

The flexible hose (expansion vessel) is a Potterton connection hose used to link the expansion vessel to the appliance's water circuit. It is fitted across the Potterton Promax Store and Promax HE Store range, including the 24 Store cylinder models. Its role is to carry system water between the vessel and the boiler or cylinder assembly while absorbing movement and vibration.

• Visible weeping, damp patches or corrosion at the hose crimp or end fittings
• Cracking, hardening or perishing of the hose material with age
• Loss of system pressure that cannot be traced to any other component
• Water staining on the appliance casing or floor beneath the expansion vessel connection
• Hose deformation or kinking that restricts flow to the vessel

• Confirm the appliance model and, where applicable, the serial number prefix against the fit list above
• Check the hose end fittings and thread type match the connection on the existing vessel
• Inspect the expansion vessel itself for a failed diaphragm, as a faulty vessel can mimic a hose fault
• Isolate and drain the appliance before removing the existing hose
