What it is
The Potterton ionisation electrode with lead (part number 5117275) is a flame sensing electrode used on Potterton Promax HE and Promax Store 24 appliances. It sits in the combustion path and signals the PCB when a flame is present, allowing the boiler to prove ignition and continue running. The electrode is supplied with its lead attached for connection back to the control board.
