What it is
The Baxi 5114710 hydraulic inlet assembly with Hall effect sensor is a 12 litre hydraulic component used on Baxi combi boilers in the Duo-Tec, Platinum and Main Combi families, and on the equivalent Potterton combi models listed below. It forms part of the boiler's water circuit and incorporates a Hall effect sensor that signals flow information back to the control board.
Signs this part needs replacing
- No hot water, or hot water that runs intermittently, when there is a call for domestic hot water
- The boiler fails to fire on a hot water demand
- Fault codes logged against the flow sensor or Hall effect sensor circuit
- Water weeping from the hydraulic inlet body or its connections
- Poor switching between heating and hot water operation
