What it is
The Potterton 5106932 is an automatic air vent used on Powermax HE gas boilers. It continuously releases trapped air from the heating circuit, preventing airlocks and noisy circulation. The vent is a serviceable component within the boiler's water-side assembly.
Signs this part needs replacing
- Water weeping or dripping from the vent body
- Boiler losing pressure repeatedly with no visible system leak
- Gurgling or air noise in the boiler after venting
- Vent no longer discharging air when the system is bled
- Corrosion or scale build-up around the vent cap
Before you order
- Confirm the boiler model is a Powermax HE85, HE115 or HE150
- Check the part number 5106932 matches the vent currently fitted
- Inspect the surrounding pipework and seals for damage before fitting
- Isolate and drain down as required by the boiler's instructions before removal
