What it is

The Baxi 5106888 is a vertical flue adaptor used to connect a vertical flue run to the boiler's flue outlet. It forms part of the flue system on Baxi's HE Plus and Platinum HE ranges, guiding products of combustion away from the appliance while maintaining the correct sealed path through the roof space.

The adaptor is a gas-carrying component, so the flue route and its joints must remain gas-tight and correctly supported once installed.

Signs this part needs replacing

  • Visible corrosion, staining or pitting on the adaptor body or its mating faces
  • Condensate tracking or water marks around the flue connection at the boiler casing
  • Deteriorated or perished internal seals allowing flue gas to escape at the joint
  • Flue gas analysis readings outside the expected range, or the boiler repeatedly locking out on a flue-related fault
  • Physical damage to the adaptor after storm damage, roof work or a flue re-route

Before you order

  • Check the appliance GC number against the compatibility list to confirm the correct flue component for your boiler
  • Note the earlier part numbers 5118672 and 1117542 when comparing against an existing installation
  • Inspect the flue seals and gaskets at the same time, as these are disturbed during replacement
  • This part is fitted to a gas appliance; installation must be carried out by a Gas Safe registered engineer.
