What it is
The Potterton 5106144 is a filling loop assembly supplied complete with double check valves. It is used to top up and maintain system pressure on Potterton Powermax and Promax store cylinders and Promax HE boilers. The hose union end connects the assembly to the appliance's filling point.
Signs this part needs replacing
- Water weeping or dripping from the filling loop hose or union end
- System pressure creeping up when the filling loop should be isolated
- Check valves failing to hold, allowing mains water to pass into the heating circuit
- Visible corrosion, perishing or hardening of the hose
- Difficulty making a watertight seal at the union end
