What it is

The Potterton 5105575 is an air pressure switch used on Potterton Suprima 40 L boilers. It senses the pressure created by the combustion fan and signals the boiler control board that air is moving through the appliance before the ignition sequence is allowed to continue. If the switch does not prove fan pressure, the boiler will not fire and will normally lock out.

Signs this part needs replacing

  • The boiler locks out or fails to fire even though the fan is running.
  • The fan runs continuously but the ignition sequence never completes.
  • Intermittent lockouts that clear after a reset and then return.
  • The boiler fires on some attempts and not others, with no consistent pattern.
