What it is
The Altecnic Temp / Pressure Gauge is a dual-scale instrument that displays system pressure from 0-6 bar and temperature from 0-120°C on a single 80mm dial. It uses a bottom connection, so the gauge sits vertically above the tapping it is fitted to. It is intended for boiler and heating system applications where local visual readings of pressure and temperature are needed.
Signs this part needs replacing
- The needle stays at zero when the system is under pressure or fails to move at all
- Readings drift or disagree noticeably with a second gauge on the same system
- The dial face is fogged, discoloured or obscured so readings cannot be taken
- The needle sticks, jumps or moves erratically instead of sweeping smoothly
- Corrosion, weeping or staining is visible around the gauge connection
Before you order
- Confirm the connection thread and bottom-entry orientation match the tapping on the appliance or pipework
- Check the 0-6 bar pressure and 0-120°C temperature ranges suit the system being worked on
- Confirm the 80mm dial fits the available space and any fascia or panel opening
- Verify the part is listed for the Altecnic application being repaired
