What it is

The Ravenheat 5027035 is a summer/winter changeover switch used on Ravenheat RSF series gas boilers. It allows the user to select between summer mode, providing hot water only, and winter mode, providing both heating and hot water. The switch is a serviceable control component within the boiler's fascia or control assembly.

Signs this part needs replacing

  • The boiler will not switch between summer and winter modes
  • Hot water runs but heating cannot be selected, or vice versa
  • The switch feels loose, stiff or fails to click into position
  • Mode selection is intermittent and the boiler drops back to the wrong setting
  • Visible damage, scorching or a loose connection at the switch

Before you order

  • Confirm your boiler model against the fit list above
  • Check the existing switch for the same part number and terminal layout
  • Isolate the electrical supply to the boiler before removing or fitting the switch
  • Verify the fault lies with the switch itself rather than the wiring or control board
