What it is
The Ravenheat 5021039 is a pilot electronic ignition box used on Ravenheat RSF 820/20 series gas boilers. It supplies the high-voltage spark that lights the pilot burner during a call for heat. The unit is supplied with a red casing, having previously been produced in white.
Signs this part needs replacing
- No spark at the pilot burner when the boiler calls for heat
- Boiler fails to light and goes to lockout on start-up
- Pilot ignition is intermittent, with clicking but no sustained flame
- Pilot lights only after repeated attempts or not at all, with the electrode and lead confirmed sound
