What it is
The Ravenheat 5012006 is a natural gas valve for the Ravenheat RSF 820/20 range of gas boilers. It uses the Honeywell V4600N2006 valve body and regulates the supply of natural gas to the burner as part of the boiler's gas train. It is a serviceable component, fitted when the existing valve no longer controls gas flow correctly.
Signs this part needs replacing
- Boiler fails to fire, or locks out with no gas reaching the burner
- Flame drops out shortly after ignition
- Intermittent or weak flame at the burner
- No response from the valve when the boiler calls for heat
- Signs of gas leakage around the valve body — isolate the supply and call a Gas Safe registered engineer immediately
