What it is

The Halstead 500621 is a right-hand ignition electrode for Halstead gas boilers. It forms part of the appliance's ignition circuit, producing the spark that lights the burner. It is fitted across the ACE, Finest, Finest Gold, Finest Platinum and Wickes ranges within the serial ranges listed below.

Signs this part needs replacing

  • Boiler fails to ignite, with no spark at the burner
  • Repeated ignition lockouts or fault codes on start-up
  • Cracking, crazing or discolouration of the ceramic insulator
  • Carbon build-up, corrosion or a worn tip on the electrode
  • Intermittent ignition — the boiler lights on some attempts but not others

Before you order

  • Confirm your boiler model and GC number against the fit list
  • Check whether your appliance uses the left-hand or right-hand electrode
  • Check the serial number range (FROM / UP TO) shown against your boiler's data badge
  • Inspect the existing electrode and its lead for damage before ordering
