What it is
Plaited glass rope from Consumables, supplied in 2 m lengths at 12 mm diameter. Glass rope of this type is used to form heat-resistant seals and gaskets around appliance doors and access panels. This line carries a minimum order of 30 metres, so the 2 m lengths are ordered to build up that total.
Before you order
- Confirm 12 mm diameter suits the groove or channel the rope is being fitted into, allowing for compression when the door closes.
- The minimum order is 30 metres; work out how many 2 m lengths are needed to meet or exceed that total.
- Check the temperature and duty of the application to confirm glass rope is the correct sealing material.
- Allow for any overlap or joint at the ends when calculating the total length required.
