What it is
The Halstead 450985 is a plate heat exchanger used in Halstead gas boilers. It transfers heat between the primary and domestic hot water circuits, with the two water paths kept separate by the plate stack and its edge seals. It is a serviceable component, so it can be removed and replaced when performance drops or the unit leaks.
