What it is
The Glow-worm 432868 is a domestic hot water (DHW) high limit thermostat used across a range of Glow-worm Compact and Express appliances. It senses the temperature of the domestic hot water circuit and interrupts the burner demand if that temperature climbs past the safe limit, protecting the appliance and the hot water store from overheating. It is supplied as a thermostat only.
Signs this part needs replacing
- No domestic hot water while the boiler still fires normally for heating
- Boiler locks out or needs repeated resets during a hot water draw-off
- Hot water runs cool or fluctuates, with the burner cutting out early
- DHW temperature overshoots noticeably before the burner shuts down
- The fault returns after the thermostat has been reset
Before you order
- Check the GC number on the appliance data badge against the compatibility list before ordering.
- Confirm the number on the thermostat being replaced; 202529 and S202529 are earlier numbers for the same item.
