What it is

The Glow-worm 432828 is a fan assembly for Glow-worm Express and Swiftflow gas boilers. It moves combustion air and flue gases through the appliance as part of the combustion circuit, and is listed by the manufacturer under part number 432828.

Signs this part needs replacing

  • The boiler locks out or fails to reach ignition, with a fault code pointing to the fan or air pressure circuit
  • Bearing rumble, scraping or vibration from the fan area during or after start-up
  • The fan does not run at the start of a demand, runs intermittently, or runs on after the demand ends
  • Repeated flue or overheating related lockouts that clear temporarily when the appliance is reset

Before you order

  • Confirm the boiler model against the fits list above
  • On Swiftflow appliances, confirm whether the boiler has Honeywell or SIT controls, as the two variants are listed separately
  • Check the part number on the existing fan against 432828
  • Isolate the electrical supply and the gas supply before removing or fitting the fan, and check the fan housing and seals for damage before reassembly
