What it is
Part number 430054 is an automatic air vent (AAV), fitted to a Potterton boiler to bleed trapped air from the system automatically. It is produced under the Potterton brand within the Baxi Group.
Signs this part needs replacing
- Weeping or dripping water from the vent body
- Air noise or gurgling in the system that persists after bleeding radiators
- Reduced heat output from radiators caused by trapped air
- Visible corrosion, or a stuck/seized valve cap
