What it is
The Vokera 4254 is an automatic air vent bottle used on a wide range of Vokera gas boilers. It continuously vents trapped air from the heating circuit, protecting the appliance from air locks and circulation problems. This part supersedes the earlier code 08665.
Signs this part needs replacing
- Water weeping or dripping from the vent body or cap
- Visible corrosion or scale build-up around the vent
- Air continuing to circulate despite the vent being fitted, causing noisy operation
- Boiler losing pressure repeatedly with no other visible leak
- Vent cap seized or damaged so it can no longer be adjusted
Before you order
- Confirm the appliance model and, where applicable, the hydraulic variant against the fit list
- Check the existing vent for the part number or the superseded code 08665
- Inspect the mounting point and seals for damage before fitting
- Isolate the appliance and drain down as required before removal
