What it is

The Myson 402A3672 is an ignition control printed circuit board used in Myson Apollo appliances. It forms part of the control box assembly and governs the ignition sequence, monitoring the call for heat and energising the ignition circuit so the burner lights in the correct order. The board also handles the associated safety timing, shutting the ignition down if a flame is not established within the permitted period.

Signs this part needs replacing

  • The appliance fails to light, with no spark at the burner despite a call for heat.
  • The boiler locks out repeatedly, or locks out intermittently after running normally for a period.
  • Ignition is delayed or erratic, with the burner lighting only on some attempts.
  • The board shows visible heat damage, discoloured tracks, scorching or a burnt smell around the ignition circuit.
  • The appliance gives no response at all to a demand for heat, with the control box otherwise powered.

Before you order

  • Check the appliance model and GC number against the compatibility list to confirm the board is the correct variant for the unit.
  • If the existing board carries 309S374 or 309S376, these earlier numbers identify the same control function and can be used as a cross-reference.
  • The part GC number 377-046 can be used as an additional cross-check when matching the board to the appliance.
  • This part is fitted to a gas appliance; installation must be carried out by a Gas Safe registered engineer.
