What it is
The Honeywell 45004108-001 pilot injector (38/36A) is a metering injector that supplies gas to the pilot burner on a range of Myson gas boilers. It regulates the pilot gas flow so the pilot flame is correctly sized to ignite the main burner and to be proved by the flame supervision device. It is used across the Myson Apollo, Marathon, Orion, Economist and Livin Luxury boiler families.
Signs this part needs replacing
- The pilot fails to light, or lights only intermittently
- The pilot flame is weak, yellow, or lifts away from the burner
- The pilot flame goes out when the main burner fires
- Soot or carbon deposits build up around the pilot assembly
- The boiler repeatedly locks out on flame supervision
