What it is
The main LPG injector, part number 39835540, is a Ferroli component used on Optimax HE Plus gas boilers. It sits in the gas train and meters the flow of liquefied petroleum gas into the burner. It is a serviceable part, not a conversion kit.
Signs this part needs replacing
- The boiler lights but the flame is weak or unstable
- Repeated lockouts on start-up with the gas supply otherwise sound
- Combustion readings outside the expected range when the injector is suspect
- Visible blockage, debris or damage at the injector orifice
- Fluctuating burner performance that does not trace to the gas valve or supply pressure
Before you order
- Confirm the appliance is running on LPG, as this injector is for LPG only
- Check the model and version code on the boiler data badge against the fit list
- Compare the part number on the existing injector with 39835540
- Gas work must be carried out by a competent, Gas Safe registered engineer
