What it is

The Ferroli 39822040 is a double pole on/off switch used in Ferroli gas boilers. It provides the mains isolation and switching function on the appliance, breaking both live and neutral conductors. It is listed as a replacement for manufacturer code 800036.

Signs this part needs replacing

  • The boiler will not power up when the switch is operated
  • The switch feels loose, gritty or fails to latch in the on position
  • Intermittent power to the appliance when the switch is touched or knocked
  • Visible scorching, discolouration or a burning smell around the switch
  • Continuity cannot be confirmed across both poles when tested

Before you order

  • Confirm the appliance model and serial number against the manufacturer's parts list
  • Check the existing switch for the same double pole configuration and terminal layout
  • Isolate the mains supply before removing or inspecting the switch
  • Verify the part number 39822040 or the replaced code 800036 on the old component where marked
