What it is
The COMBINED FLOW. 100C LIMIT SENSOR is a Ferroli combined sensor that measures flow temperature and provides a 100°C limit (overheat) cut-out within the same housing. It is fitted to a number of Ferroli domestic gas boilers, where it feeds flow temperature data to the control board and opens the safety circuit if the limit temperature is reached. The part is listed under the Ferroli part number 39821530.
Signs this part needs replacing
- Boiler locks out or fails to fire, with the fault recurring after reset
- Domestic hot water runs cold or the boiler drops out mid-draw
- Flow temperature readings on the display are erratic or clearly wrong
- Boiler short-cycles or cuts out before reaching the set flow temperature
- Repeated overheat trips where the limit circuit opens at operating temperature
