What it is
The Ferroli 39818552 is a Bitron flow switch used in Ferroli domestic gas boilers. It detects water movement through the heating or hot water circuit and signals the control board that flow is present. The body is moulded in PA66GF30, a 30% glass fibre reinforced polyamide.
Signs this part needs replacing
- The boiler runs the pump but does not fire on a hot water draw-off
- Hot water is intermittent, with the burner dropping out mid-draw
- The boiler fails to detect flow and locks out or reports a flow-related fault
- The switch body is cracked, weeping or shows heat damage
- Fault persists after the pump and system water flow have been checked
