What it is
The Ferroli 39817830 is an 8 litre expansion vessel used in Ferroli domestic gas appliances. It absorbs the volume change of water as the heating circuit heats and cools, holding system pressure within the range the appliance is designed to work at. It is fitted to Divatop 60 and Elite Stratos / NEW Elite 60 models.
Signs this part needs replacing
- System pressure rises quickly when the appliance heats up and falls again as it cools.
- The pressure relief valve discharges during normal heating cycles.
- Frequent topping up of system pressure is needed to keep the boiler running.
- Water is present at the vessel's air valve, or the valve will not hold charge.
- The vessel feels heavy or full of water when disconnected and drained.
Before you order
- Confirm the appliance model and product number against the fit list above.
- Check the existing vessel's capacity marking to confirm 8 litres is correct for the installation.
- Verify the vessel connection and mounting arrangement match the appliance before removal.
- Depressurise and drain the heating circuit before work begins.
