What it is
The Ferroli 39814070 Pilot Burner is a pilot burner assembly supplied for natural gas operation on Ferroli Pegasus F2 and F3 series boilers. It provides the standing pilot flame that lights the main burner and proves flame presence to the boiler's safety circuit. The part is listed by the manufacturer as a pilot burner assembly for the Pegasus range.
Signs this part needs replacing
- The pilot flame fails to establish or will not stay lit after ignition
- The pilot flame is visibly weak, yellow or lifting away from the burner
- The pilot extinguishes repeatedly during operation or on demand for heat
- Soot or debris build-up around the pilot burner that cannot be cleared by cleaning
- The pilot burner, injector or electrode assembly is physically distorted or heat-damaged
Before you order
- Confirm the boiler model and variant against the fit list, as Pegasus F2 and F3 variants differ
- Check the existing pilot burner for the manufacturer part number 39814070
- Verify the boiler is set up for natural gas, as this assembly is supplied for NG
- Inspect the pilot injector and ignition components at the same time so any associated faults are addressed in one visit
