What it is
The Ferroli 39812140 is an 8 litre expansion vessel used in Ferroli Domicompact boilers. It absorbs the volume increase of the sealed heating system as the water heats and expands, limiting pressure rise and protecting the boiler and system components. It is a serviceable component within the Domicompact appliance family.
Signs this part needs replacing
- System pressure climbs sharply as the boiler heats up and falls again once it cools.
- The pressure relief valve discharges water during normal heating cycles.
- The boiler repeatedly loses pressure and needs topping up.
- Water is visible at the vessel connection or the vessel body is corroded or damp.
- Knocking or gurgling noises from the boiler as system pressure swings.
Before you order
- Confirm the boiler model and product number against the fitment list above.
- Check the existing vessel's capacity and connection arrangement match the 8 litre unit.
- Verify the system has been depressurised and drained before removal.
- Check there is sufficient access around the vessel mounting point for removal and refitting.
