What it is
The Ferroli 39809740 is a 3 bar safety valve used in Ferroli gas boilers. It forms part of the pressure relief and safety valve group, opening to discharge water if system pressure rises above its set rating. It is fitted across the Domicompact, Domitop, Ferella Gold, F24B, F30B and Elite ranges.
Signs this part needs replacing
- Water weeping or discharging from the valve outlet when the system is below its set pressure.
- System pressure repeatedly rising and the valve lifting during normal operation.
- Boiler losing pressure with no visible leak elsewhere on the system.
- Scale or debris holding the valve seat open, causing a constant drip.
- Valve failing to reseat after it has operated.
Before you order
- Confirm your boiler model and product number against the fit list above.
- Check the rating marked on the existing valve matches 3 bar.
- Verify the system pressure gauge reading before and after replacement.
- Check the discharge pipework is clear and correctly routed before fitting.
