What it is
The Ferroli flame sensing lead (part number 39804711) is a wiring lead that connects the flame sensing electrode to the boiler control board. It carries the ionisation signal used by the board to confirm that a flame is present. The lead is used across a number of Ferroli Domina and Modena gas boiler models.

- Boiler locks out or fails to detect flame after the burner has lit
- Repeated ignition attempts followed by shutdown
- Intermittent lockouts that clear after a reset
- Cracked, brittle or heat-damaged insulation along the lead
- Loose, corroded or discoloured terminal at the electrode or control board end
