What it is

The lead electrode is a Ferroli ignition component used on Domina 80E and Modena 80E gas boilers in the MF01 and MF02 variants. It forms part of the boiler's ignition circuit, carrying the spark to the burner so that the gas is lit on a demand for heat. It is supplied under Ferroli part number 39804701.

Signs this part needs replacing

  • The boiler fails to light and goes to lockout on a call for heat.
  • No spark is visible at the burner during the ignition sequence.
  • Ignition is intermittent, with the boiler lighting on some attempts and not others.
  • The electrode or its lead shows cracking, heat damage or a broken connection.

Before you order

  • Confirm the boiler model is a Domina 80E or Modena 80E.
  • Check whether the appliance is the MF01 or MF02 variant, as both are covered by this part.
  • Match the part number 39804701 against the number on the existing component.
  • Check the appliance data badge against the model and GC numbers listed above.
