What it is
This is Ferroli's gas valve, a Honeywell VR4605NA2007 unit. It controls the flow of gas into the boiler and to the burner, and also supplies the pilot burner.
Signs this part needs replacing
- Boiler fails to ignite or repeatedly locks out on a gas or ignition fault
- Burner flame is weak, unstable or the wrong colour
- Smell of gas near the boiler (stop use and call the Gas Emergency line immediately)
- Boiler cuts out shortly after firing
