What it is

The Ferroli 39803010 is a thermocouple used in a range of Ferroli gas boilers. It sits in the pilot flame assembly and generates the small voltage that keeps the gas valve open while a flame is proven. If it stops producing that signal, the pilot will not stay lit and the appliance will not run.

Signs this part needs replacing

  • The pilot flame lights but goes out as soon as the gas control knob is released.
  • The boiler locks out repeatedly with no pilot flame established.
  • The pilot lights intermittently, then drops out during normal running.
  • The pilot flame is present but the gas valve does not hold open.
