What it is

The Ferroli 39800280 is an ignition electrode for Ferroli gas boilers. It sits at the burner and produces the spark that lights the gas when the boiler receives a call for heat. This electrode replaces the earlier code 800280.

Signs this part needs replacing

  • The boiler runs through its ignition sequence but does not light and goes to lockout
  • No spark is visible at the burner when the boiler attempts to fire
  • Repeated lockouts that clear on reset but return on the next demand
  • Audible clicking from the ignition sequence with no flame established
  • Heavy carbon build-up, erosion or a damaged insulator at the electrode tip
