The Ferroli 39800160 is a central heating limit thermostat rated at 88°C, used to monitor and cut the central heating circuit on Ferroli gas boilers. It forms part of the boiler's temperature control and safety chain, breaking the heating demand when the set limit is reached. The part supersedes the earlier code 800160.
Signs this part needs replacing
- The boiler runs on central heating but cuts out before reaching temperature
- Repeated overheat lockouts or the boiler shutting down shortly after ignition
- Central heating cycling on and off far more often than normal
- No central heating demand being registered despite the programmer calling for heat
- The thermostat shows signs of scorching, corrosion or a loose or broken capillary/lead
