What it is
The Elson EPDM washer is a 3/4 BSP sealing washer used to seal threaded connections on Elson water heaters and heat interface units. The EPDM rubber construction provides a resilient seal at the joint face. It is supplied under part number 38450008.
Signs this part needs replacing
- Weeping or visible water at a threaded joint on the appliance
- A previously disturbed connection that will not seal on reassembly
- The existing washer is hardened, cracked, flattened or deformed
- Scale or debris embedded in the washer face preventing a clean seal
Before you order
- Confirm the connection is 3/4 BSP and not another thread size
- Check the washer seat and thread are clean and undamaged before fitting
- Verify the appliance model against the fitment list above
- EPDM is the correct material for the joint being sealed
