What it is
Ferroli 38314061 is an eco split wire thermocouple interrupter lead used on Ferroli gas boilers. It carries the signal between the thermocouple interrupter circuit and the boiler controls, and is fitted across the Combi, Optima and Hawk appliance families. The lead supersedes code 801140.
Signs this part needs replacing
- The boiler lights but fails to hold the flame and locks out shortly afterwards
- The pilot or burner extinguishes when the control knob is released
- Intermittent lockouts that clear after the lead is disturbed or reseated
- Visible damage to the lead, such as cracked or brittle insulation, scorched sleeving, or loose and corroded terminals
- Continuity faults across the lead when checked with a multimeter
