What it is
The 35 mm lever valve with blue handle is a manual isolation valve from the Altecnic valves and vents range. It is fitted into boiler and heating pipework so the flow at that point can be shut off for service or maintenance work. The blue lever handle operates the valve between the open and closed positions.
Signs this part needs replacing
- Weeping or dripping from the spindle when the valve is operated
- The lever handle turns without changing the flow, or is seized and will not move
- The valve will not shut off fully, leaving flow through the pipe
