Ariston Steatite Element 345523

The Ariston 345523 is a steatite heating element measuring 788 mm in length. It is manufactured by Ariston for use in the Perfo and STYX Perfo electric boiler families, where it provides the primary heating surface for the stored water. Steatite construction is used in these elements because the mineral insulation withstands the high surface temperatures and thermal cycling seen in electric heating vessels.

• The appliance runs but delivers no heat to the stored water
• The element shows no continuity across its terminals when tested
• The safety thermostat or overheat cut-out trips repeatedly on start-up
• The element sheath is visibly blistered, split or heavily scaled
• The circuit breaker or RCD trips when the heating cycle begins

• Confirm the appliance model and edition against the fit list above
• Check the existing element length measures 788 mm before removal is completed
• Inspect the thermostat, contactor and wiring for faults that can mimic element failure
• Isolate the electrical supply and drain the vessel before any work begins
