What it is

The Altecnic 1 1/2 FxF Ballstop Ball Valve and Check Valve is a combined isolation and non-return valve for boiler installations. The ball valve provides manual isolation of the pipework, while the integral check valve prevents reverse flow through the same body. It forms part of the Altecnic ball valve range.

Signs this part needs replacing

  • The valve body or spindle gland weeps or drips when the valve is closed or operated.
  • The lever turns but flow is not isolated, indicating the ball or seats are worn.
  • Water passes back through the check valve, causing reverse flow in the circuit.
  • The lever is seized, stiff or will not move through its full quarter turn.
  • Visible corrosion or scale build-up around the connections or body.

Before you order

  • Confirm the pipework is 1 1/2 FxF and that both connections match the existing valve.
  • Check the flow direction arrow required by the check valve against the pipework layout before fitting.
  • Allow sufficient clearance for the lever to operate through its full travel.
  • Isolate and drain the system before removal of the existing valve.
