What it is

The Altecnic 1/2M/F 8 bar Safety Relief Valve with gauge is a pressure-limiting safety device for boiler and heating system applications. It opens at its 8 bar set pressure to discharge excess pressure and protect the appliance and associated pipework. The valve is fitted with an integral gauge for local pressure reading.

Signs this part needs replacing

  • Water or weeping discharge from the valve outlet with the system at normal operating pressure
  • System pressure rising above the normal range and not being relieved
  • The gauge reading drifting, sticking or failing to return to zero
  • Scale, corrosion or debris visible at the valve seat or outlet
  • The valve failing to reseat and seal after a pressure discharge
