What it is
The Altecnic 3/4F/F 7 bar Safety Relief Valve with gauge is a pressure relief valve with female inlet and outlet connections, factory set to lift at 7 bar. It is fitted with an integral gauge for local pressure indication. It is intended for use on boiler and PRV installations within the Altecnic range.
Signs this part needs replacing
- The valve weeps or discharges continuously when system pressure is below the 7 bar set point
- Water tracks from the outlet after the valve has lifted, indicating the seat is not reseating
- The gauge reads erratically, sticks, or does not return to zero when the system is depressurised
- Scale, debris or corrosion is visible around the valve seat or outlet
- Pressure continues to rise with no discharge at the set pressure
Before you order
- Confirm the required set pressure for the system matches the 7 bar rating of this valve
- Check that both connections are 3/4 inch female to suit the pipework arrangement
- Verify the discharge pipework is routed to a safe point before fitting
- Confirm whether the existing installation uses an integral gauge or a separate pressure gauge
