What it is
The Altecnic 3/4F/F 2.5 bar Safety Relief Valve is a pressure-relief device for boiler and pressure-reducing valve installations. It opens at its set pressure of 2.5 bar to discharge water and protect the system from over-pressurisation. Both connections are 3/4 inch female.
Signs this part needs replacing
- Water weeping or dripping from the valve outlet when the system is below its set pressure
- System pressure rising above 2.5 bar without the valve discharging
- The valve failing to reseat after it has opened, leaving a continuous discharge
