Altecnic Temp / Pressure Relief Valve 309547 CST

The Altecnic Temp / Pressure Relief Valve 3/4 x 15mm 4 bar / 90°C 200mm probe is a combined temperature and pressure relief valve from the Altecnic TPRVs range. It opens to discharge water when either the pressure or the stored water temperature exceeds the valve settings, protecting the appliance and the system from over-pressure and over-temperature conditions. The valve is intended for boiler applications and uses 3/4 x 15mm connections with a 200mm probe.

• Water discharging from the valve outlet or tundish when the system is not over-pressure or over-temperature
• The valve weeping or dripping continuously at the outlet
• The valve failing to relieve when system pressure or temperature rises above the set values
• Scale or debris holding the valve seat open, allowing a constant trickle
• The valve sticking or seized after long service and not operating when tested

• Confirm the connection sizes on the appliance match 3/4 x 15mm
• Confirm the pressure and temperature settings of 4 bar and 90°C match the requirements of the appliance
• Check that the 200mm probe length suits the pocket or tapping it is fitted into
• Check the condition of the discharge pipework and tundish before fitting a replacement valve
