What it is

The oil pressure switch connector is a Riello component used on EMME 3000 and EMME 4500 oil burners. It provides the electrical connection to the burner's oil pressure switch, carrying the signal used by the control box to prove oil pressure during the burner sequence.

Signs this part needs replacing

  • Burner locks out repeatedly with no consistent fault elsewhere in the oil train
  • Intermittent lockout that clears when the connector or its wiring is disturbed
  • Oil pressure switch readings that drop out or fluctuate without a change at the pump
  • Connector body showing heat damage, corrosion, cracked insulation or loose terminals
  • Poor contact at the switch, causing an open circuit on the pressure switch circuit
