What it is

Signs this part needs replacing
- The burner locks out repeatedly and no oil pressure can be established at the pressure gauge.
- Pump pressure cannot be adjusted, or drifts after setting, so the flame is unstable.
- Oil is weeping from the pump body or around the drive shaft seal.
- Grinding, whining or rattling noise from the pump during the pre-purge or running cycle.
- The burner runs for a short period and then shuts down on a flame failure or lockout.
