What it is

The membrane and viewing port is a Riello burner spare that seals the flame observation aperture on the burner housing while allowing the flame to be inspected. It is used across a wide range of Riello RL series oil burners. The membrane forms the flexible sealing element, with the viewing port providing the sight path into the combustion area.

Signs this part needs replacing

  • The membrane is perished, cracked or hardened and no longer seals the aperture
  • Oil weeping or staining around the viewing port area
  • The sight glass or port is discoloured, crazed or obscured, making flame observation difficult
  • Air being drawn in around the port, affecting combustion readings
  • The port assembly is loose or fails to seat correctly in the burner housing
