What it is

The Riello long electrode, part number 3013276, is an extended ignition electrode used in Riello oil burners. It sits in the combustion head and generates the spark that lights the fuel-air mixture at start-up. This extended version is specified for the RLS 28, RLS 38 and RLS 50 burner ranges.

Signs this part needs replacing

  • Burner goes to lockout at start-up with no established flame
  • No visible spark at the electrode when the burner is energised
  • Electrode tip eroded, rounded or heavily carbon fouled
  • Cracked or discoloured ceramic insulator on the electrode
  • Spark tracking to earth instead of arcing across the gap
