What it is

The H.T. lead is a high tension ignition lead manufactured by Riello for use on its oil and gas burners. It carries the high voltage spark from the ignition transformer or control box to the electrode, forming the spark path that lights the burner. This part is supplied as a pack of 10 leads.

Signs this part needs replacing

  • Burner fails to light or locks out despite the ignition transformer operating
  • Visible spark arcing from the lead body or terminals to earth instead of at the electrode
  • Cracked, perished or heat-damaged insulation along the lead
  • Intermittent ignition or repeated lockouts that clear when the lead is moved
  • Charred or corroded lead terminals at the electrode or transformer end
