What it is

The Riello air damper is a burner component that regulates the volume of combustion air drawn into the appliance. It is listed by Riello under part number 3008729 and is used across the Gulliver burner range. Correct damper operation is essential for stable combustion and consistent air/fuel ratios.

Signs this part needs replacing

  • Burner locks out repeatedly or fails to establish a stable flame
  • Combustion readings drift and cannot be set to the correct CO₂ or O₂ figure
  • Soot deposits or visible smoke at the appliance
  • Damper blade sticking, seized or not moving through its full travel
  • Visible damage, distortion or excessive wear on the damper assembly

Before you order

  • Read the burner data plate and confirm the model code and type number against the fitment list
  • Check the existing damper for the part number marking where accessible
  • Confirm the burner series (BS, BGK or RG) before ordering, as fitment varies by model
  • Verify the appliance has been isolated and made safe before removing any burner components
