What it is
The Riello BS3D servomotor/air damper assembly is a burner component that drives the air damper position on Riello pressure-jet burners. It opens and closes the damper in step with the burner's operating sequence, controlling combustion air to match the firing stage. It is used across the Gulliver BS, BSP and R40 FS burner families.
Signs this part needs replacing
- Burner locks out or fails to complete its start sequence
- Air damper does not move when the burner runs
- Damper stuck open or closed, giving poor combustion or high excess air
- Motor runs continuously or buzzes without driving the damper
- Visible damage, burning or a seized linkage on the servomotor
